Here’s the all you need to make basic roux recipe and the ingredients! How can we make roux  for 400 ml of sauce?

This method is used at the start of a sauce recipe. The sauce is thickened by adding the liquid ingredients to a roux, i.e., a mixture of flour and fat.


2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour


Melt the butter slowly in a saucepan. Add the flour and stir.

Let them sizzle together a little.

Pour in the sauce little by little, stirring all the time. Cook the sauce for another 3-5 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
